There are Tibet supporters all across Australia and we need to make sure that candidates know that Tibet has grassroots support and that, if elected, you want them to take action for Tibet.

Contact your local candidates to say that if elected:

  • You expect them to stand up for human rights in Tibet.
  • They should press the Government to recognise only a future Dalai Lama chosen by Tibetan people using Tibetan Buddhist traditions, and not accept a Dalai Lama appointed by the Chinese Government.
  • They should support the use of Australia’s Magnitsky sanction laws to sanction Chinese Government officials responsible for human rights abuses in Tibet.
  • You want them to meet with representatives of the Australia Tibet Council and members of the Tibetan-Australian community during the next parliamentary session.

Please email your local candidates to let them know that you believe in the rights and freedoms of the people of Tibet.

Do Gooder (the advocacy platform powering this online action) processes personal information from you that you enter on this form so that we can provide the functions and related services to you and The Campaigner (the organisation responsible for this online action) for their legitimate purposes, including possibly exporting it to other systems, and to effectively respond to enquiries and communications related to those services.
